From thought to action, without losing the thread.
Tareea is a connected workspace for people who think by writing and need their tasks to remember the why. Notes, tasks, and time — permanently connected.
You write a note. Three actions come out of it. You put those actions somewhere else and by the time they need doing the connection is gone. The task exists. The thinking behind it doesn't.
You spend the first minutes of every work session reconstructing context you already built. This is not a discipline problem. It is a tool problem. No tool was built to hold the connection between where an idea came from and what it needs to become.
Until now.
Select any text in a note. One click. A task is created — and it carries a permanent link back to the exact note where the idea lived. Six weeks later, you open that task and you still know what you were thinking and why it mattered.
The official version and the real version are probably different. Find out whether the board saw the risk assessment before or after the vote.
Cross-reference the timeline with the leaked February memo. Check if her name appears in the subsidiary filings→ Create a task — it might. Send a thank-you within 24 hours.
Headings, lists, quotes, code — full rich text and Markdown, with formatting that appears when you reach for it and disappears when you don't. No AI suggestions rewriting the sentence you're still thinking through.
Focus mode clears everything but the page — the sidebar, both toolbars and the side panel slide away. Typewriter mode keeps the line you're writing centred, so you never chase the cursor down the page. Quick Capture gets a thought down in a keystroke, before it's gone.
She reached out first. That matters — people who reach out usually have something they need to say.
Let her lead for the first twenty minutes. Don't fill the silence.
View any Folio as a map. Every note becomes a node; every task it generated sits beside it, joined by a line drawn the moment the task was created. The most consequential thinking stands out before you read a single label.
Fourteen days of context behind you. Sixty days of intentions ahead. Your tasks appear as coloured dots on a spatial map — dense where work is concentrated, open where there's breathing room. Drag any dot to reschedule. The plan updates instantly.
The Focus card scores every active task in your workspace and surfaces the single most important thing to work on right now. It runs every time you open the dashboard.
Time is the hardest constraint, so overdue tasks score highest. Priority is what you set deliberately. When urgency is equal, the task with the richest context — linked notes, completed subtasks, description — rises to the top.
The result is one clear next action. Not a quadrant. Not a ranking. Just: start here.
When you publish a note in Tareea, you're not sending a file. You're opening a reading window into a version of your thinking — on your terms, for as long as you decide, to exactly the recipients you choose.
Every shared note is protected by a 6-digit code delivered separately to your recipient's email. The link and the code travel by different channels. Forwarding the link alone is useless. When the link expires — 7, 14, or 30 days — it stops working automatically.
When your thinking evolves, republish. The same link updates. No new URL, no resending.
In the current version, shared snapshots are stored as readable content on our servers. They are not end-to-end encrypted. No AI processes your shared content.
Maximum is 30 days. After expiry the snapshot is deleted — not just hidden.
We're testing with a small group first, then opening more seats. When you get in, you get the full product from day one.
In Tareea, nothing passes through a model. Not by policy — by design. The intelligence built into the workspace comes from timestamps and word patterns, not inference.
With end-to-end encryption, we couldn't read what you write even if we wanted to. The guarantee isn't something you have to trust us to keep. It's built into the architecture.
If you choose to take your work to an AI tool, that choice is yours to make, outside of Tareea.
Every new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial. No card needed.
Up to 50 active tasks, 25 active notes, 3 active Folios. Archived items don't count toward the cap.
Everything in Free, plus unlimited tasks, notes, and Folios.
Tareea is private by design, not by policy. In Private mode — the default for every new account — your note titles, task titles, Folio names, tags, and content are encrypted. Connected mode is a Pro option you opt into deliberately, to power three outbound features.
Your note and task content stays encrypted in both modes. You can switch back to Private mode after 30 days. Whatever already left Tareea while Connected cannot be recalled — that trade-off is clearly stated before you switch.
Tareea started as a personal problem — managing complex, high-stakes work while constantly losing the connection between the thinking and the doing. Writing a note that generated three actions, then finding those actions completely separated from their context by the time they needed doing.
We are an independent team, funded by personal savings, building something we believe in. No venture capital. No growth-at-all-costs mandate. Just a product for a specific kind of person: if you think by writing and need to act on what you think, Tareea is for you.
